The Civil Proceedings, First-tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal and Employment Tribunals Fees (Amendment) Order 2016 was approved last night in the House of Lords from which we see an increase in the fee to issue a writ with the High Court, the increase will be implemented on Monday, the 25th July 2016.
The court fee for issuing a High Court writ of execution has not risen since 2011, unlike many other court fees in recent years. The fee rises from £60.00 to £66.00 for writs of control, delivery and possession.
With immediate effect, all new instructions for the High Court will require the new fee of £66.00 to be included. The fixed cost for a writ of Control of £51.75 remains the same.
